Are you familiar with tapestry weaving but want to take it to the next level? Are you wondering how to up your texture & shapes game?
Join Carmen Bohn, fibre artist and owner of Ply Studio, to take your weaving to the next level. This workshop will take place at Ply Studio in Ottawa on Saturday, May 14th from 10:00am to 4:00pmEDT.
This class is project-based to take the guesswork out of what we will work on together. You will enjoy knowing that everything you need to complete your tapestry will be sitting in front of you when you arrive on the day of the workshop.
One of the beautiful things about our workshops is that you don't have to do anything but sign up and show up! We do all the supplies curation and create your own magical workspace with everything you will need to have a low-stress, fun and creative time with us at the Studio!
Level: intermediate; you must have some experience with weaving before arriving.
Your registration fee includes:
- 5 hours of personalized instruction, plus support before and after the session;
- All supplies to complete a weaving similar to the photos shown in this listing, including:
- An incredible variety of handspun and commercial yarns, textiles and raw fleece/fibre inputs;
- Premium Ashford 100% unmercerised cotton warp thread;
- Use of one of our large Ashford weaving frames (70cm x 50cm);
- All other tools and supplies needed to complete your weaving, in your own personalized workspace.
- A written pattern and video tutorials to follow the workshop and keep you going;
- Refreshments during the workshop; and,
- A boredom-busting good time and something to look forward to! Ply Studio workshops are always engaging and we promise that you will have fun.

Incredibly important notes:
1) This workshop will take place IN-PERSON at Ply Studio in Ottawa.
2) If you are unwell, please stay home and contact the Studio for direction on a make-up class. Please consult the Ply Studio health and safety guidelines for further information.
3) This workshop will be taught in English.
4) The tapestry you will be creating will differ from the example shown in this listing, depending on the materials you choose and your own creative inspiration.
5) This workshop series is limited to 8 participants but 3 participants are required for the workshop series to take place. If cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be notified about your options to take a different workshop series OR receive a refund.
Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to someone else OR used for a future workshop. Please stay home if you are unwell and contact the Studio - we will make arrangements for you to take the class again in the future. Should we have to cancel, students will receive a full refund. Please note that we reserve the right to postpone and reschedule a class due to unforeseen circumstances.
